Teams and Groups

In addition to your individual entry into the 5K, you can also create or join a team at no additional charge. Teams will consist of 3 or more individual runners in the 5K and can be any combination of genders. Each runner on the team will race as an individual and be eligible for individual awards.

Competitive teams are groups of 3 or more registrants who are interested in competing as a team for the 5K event. The top 3 finishers on a team will have their individual times added together and scored for the team competition. Team awards will be given out to top teams.

A spirit award will also be given to the most festive group.

Non-Competitive teams are groups of 5 or more who do not wish to compete for timed team awards. This style of group is great for those just want to have fun out on the course!

1. Log on to RunSignup under the account you registered for the Race.
2. Navigate to Upcoming Events > Manage Registration.
3. Click on the menu Group/Team (located on the left or top)
4. Click on the tab “Create New Group/Team“.
5. Select a Group/Team type.
6. Type in a Group/Team name.
7. If prompted select a Group/Team Gender and Age Group.
8. If prompted you may create an Optional Group/Team Password.
9. Click Continue.

1. Sign In to RunSignUp
2. Go to your Profile
3. Navigate to Upcoming Events.
4. Click Manage Registration next to the registration you would like to add to a team
5. Click Group/Team on the left-hand sidebar
6. From the pop-up select Join Existing Group/Team
7. Either select a Group/Team from the dropdown or Search Groups/Teams
8. Click Continue

2. Click Sign Up to begin the registration process
3. Enter in all participant information
4. Select Yes under the question Would You like to join a Group/Team
5. From the pop-up select Create New Group/Team
6. Select Continue
7. Select a Group/Team Type
8. Type in a Group/Team Name
9. If prompted select a Group/Team Gender and Age Group
10. If prompted you may create an Optional Group/Team Password
11. Click Continue

1. Navigate to the Race Page of the race
2. Click Sign Up to begin the registration process
3. Enter in all participant information
4. Select your event
5. Answer “Yes” for the question “Would you like to join a Team?“
6. Click Continue
7. Select the group/team you would like to join from the drop down menu
